How tall is Brazil's Jesus Christ statue?

The statue of 'O Cristo Redentor' ['Christ the Redeemer'] is 130 feet [39.6 meters] tall. That figure includes the 31 foot [9.5 meter] pedestal in the total height. The statue is one of the most famous landmarks in the world. It's located at the top of Corcovado [Hunchback] Mountain in the Tijuca Forest National Park of Rio de Janeiro.

The construction of O Cristo Redentor took nine years, from 1922 to 1931. It's made of reinforced concrete and soapstone. The statue was dedicated on October 12, 1931.
